Not using anti-virus software is a very bad idea on any version of Windows, even Microsoft will tell you that their security framework in Vista is not a substitute for goo anti-virus.

You should also leave Windows Firewall running regardless, because it does alert you to outbound traffic.

I don’t know if it’s drivers or what but we still get a lot of errors coming from Vista machines on winqual. Errors that don’t occur with the same app on XP.

For me it comes down to usability. Vista adds more roadblocks by constantly asking, “Are you sure you want to do this?” It already annoys me in XP and IE7. I know what I’m doing. Quit asking so many damn questions! One message box is fine, but if I say Yes, don’t ask me 3 more questions!! lol.

I’m not real happy with the new office interface either. All of the menu commands and key combos I had memorized, stuff is all changed. I still have to hunt for things. I wish they’d stop rearranging the furniture and fix the leaks in the basement instead.
