iPhone: 1.1.3 Firmware and YouTube "You must first connect to iTunes with an Internet connection to enable Youtube"
So, after I upgraded to 1.1.3 Firmware on my iPhone, I tested everything. Everything works as planned, even my voicemail works great (not visual VM, but when I hit VM when on a diff carrier it actually goes to my VM!)
But, one issue I saw: "You must first connect to iTunes with an Internet connection to enable Youtube" when I tried to use YouTube
To fix: go to Installer.App, add a source "i.unlock.no" , let it refresh, then install the YouTube Activation Fix. Restart your iPhone and it works! Brilliant!

I just jailbroke a virgin 1.1.3 AT&T phone (using the ZiPhone hack). Everything works great — except YouTube.
I’ve tried installing the YouTube fix (tried both versions 1.1.1 and 1.1.2) but still get the “Cannot Connect to YouTube”. Is this error equivalent to the “…must first connect to iTunes…” message? (I’m not getting that one).
Sigh…it’s so close to being perfect….

I think there are two separate problems here. I have the same problem as Argelius, “Cannot connect to YouTube”. This is different that the “You must first connect to iTunes with an Internet connection to enable Youtube” issue.
I have tried two fixes, one from source “i.unlock.no” and the other from “s.apfelphone.net” and neither fix the “Cannot connect to YouTube” issue.
I upgraded a virgin 1.1.3 iPhone using iJailbreak.

I unlocked a 1.1.3 iPhone the other day by using ZiPhone directly on 1.1.3 and couldn’t resolve the YouTube problem.
Instead, downgrade to 1.1.1, then unlock, upgrade to 1.1.2, then jailbreak, then use the Installer.app to perform the 1.1.3 upgrade. The YouTube fixes worked fine after that.
